The St. John’s Men’s Club functions as a social and fundraising group for men of all ages. On the second Saturday of each month, we meet at Webster’s Best Western at 7:45 am for breakfast and fellowship. At these meetings, we review our progress, decide dispersal of our moneys from fundraising and donations, and plan for upcoming events. We host a bowling men’s night out at the Wow Zone at least once a year, and trip to a Twins game in the summer. We have two annual fundraising events: the Shrove Tuesday Pancake supper and the Fish Fry in late June. From the moneys made, we provide between $1,000 and $2,000 to various local charities, such as CADA House, ECHO Food Shelf, Habitat for Humanity, and Partners for Affordable Housing, and to projects at St. John’s for Sunday school and the youth group. We sponsor a Christmas event for the children of CADA House. We provide and serve food at such events as the Easter Sunrise Breakfast and Mass in the Grass.
