DNR Seeks Public Help in Johnson County Deer Poaching Case
Johnson County, Iowa (KCRG) - The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is appealing to the public for assistance in a recent deer poaching incident. A deer was reportedly taken from a wildlife refuge north of Sutliff, located on the Johnson/Linn County line, in a violation of wildlife regulations.
The poaching occurred between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning, according to DNR officials. This illegal act not only disrupts the natural balance of the ecosystem but also poses a significant threat to the deer population in the area.
